If you have a son who is gay would you try to make him conform to gender rules?

Hypothetically speaking, this gay son of your's is not interested in sports or doing any guy stuff. He likes to talk to his girlfriends, go shopping and fantasizes about meeting Mr. Right. He's not all bad. He's known to have a very strong command in English and is extremely literate, reading as many books he could get his hands on.
